Buffalo Bills (2-2) at Cleveland
Browns (2-2):
What’s
fascinating to me about this Bills team is the secondary. Yes, Joe Flacco put
up 350 yards last week, but he did so on 50 pass attempts and threw five
(FIVE!!!) interceptions against a secondary that is about as injured as a unit
gets in the NFL. On top of that, EJ Manuel had his first legitimately bad game
as a pro – my bad, guys, I decided to try him out on my fantasy team – and the
Bills still managed to beat a decent and improving Ravens team, despite
injuries to both starting running backs.
But nothing
compares to the massive turnaround that just took place in Cleveland. The win
against Minnesota was understandable. Nobody gave the Browns a chance,
Minnesota included, there were new players to account for, and Minnesota is a
really bad team. But beating Cincinnati? The Browns defense has been good all
season, but holding Cinci to 6 points, and AJ Green relatively in check, is an
incredibly impressive feat for a squad that was written off as the Richardson
trade. My bet is, someone figures this team out, but not before they squeak one
out against Buffalo.
Cleveland Browns: 17-13
